Day 38 of 40 Days of Glory and Fasting is complete! | THE THEME: "Don't forget what I said!" - God

Stamina & Endurance to Plow in Prayer

Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. — Psalm 126:5

Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart— Galatians 6:9

Prayer is not always a moment; it’s often a field or a garden that we must tend too. Fields and gardens don’t respond to quick visits; they respond to consistent plowing and tilling. There are seasons when prayer feels effortless and fire-filled, and then there are seasons when it feels like you’re pushing a plow through hard, dry ground. No emotion. No instant breakthrough. Just obedience. That’s where spiritual stamina is formed.

Endurance in prayer isn’t about volume or long prayers or deep sounding words, it’s about remaining. Showing up again when yesterday’s prayer didn’t seem to move anything. Staying in position when heaven feels silent. Plowing anyway. God develops endurance in us because some answers are buried deep. Surface prayers break ground, but persistent prayer turns over soil that’s been compacted by years of resistance, trauma, warfare, or delay. The resistance you feel is often proof that you’re plowing in the right place.

A farmer doesn’t stop because the ground is hard because hard ground is expected. Likewise, resistance in prayer is not a sign to quit; it’s a sign to lean in and press forward even more. Every prayer you pray is loosening the soil, even when you can’t see it.

Stamina in prayer is sustained by trust: trusting that God is working beneath the surface, trusting that your labor is not wasted, and trusting that due season is real. So, plow on. Heaven is

recording your persistence. And the harvest is already scheduled specifically for you!
