The God Who Keeps His Promises
God has always been a God of promise. He made a promise to Abraham, that from an old man with no heir would come a nation too numerous to count. Time tested that promise. Delay stretched his faith. But God did exactly what He said.
He promised Elizabeth a child when her body said it was impossible. Years of barrenness could not cancel a word spoken by God. John was born because heaven had already decided. He promised Naaman healing, not through power, position, or pride, but through obedience. One word. One river. One act of humility. And his flesh became new. He promised Moses deliverance, not just for himself, but for a nation in chains. The promise came with resistance, fear, and wilderness seasons, but Pharaoh could not stop what God had declared. He promised Sarah laughter where there had been shame. Her womb laughed last, not at God, but with God, because promise outruns biology. He promised Adam and Eve redemption even in the moment of their greatest failure. Before they were ever expelled from the garden, God spoke a promise of a coming Savior. Sin didn’t silence God’s voice.
And He promised us.
Promises of salvation.
Promises of healing.
Promises of restoration.
Promises of eternal life.
The pattern has never changed. God does not promise without intention, and He does not speak casually. Time may pass. Circumstances may resist. People may doubt. But heaven does not forget. If God said it, it still stands.
If He spoke it, He will perform it. If He promised it, He is faithful to complete it.
Your delay is not denial.
Your struggle is not cancellation.
Your waiting is not wasted.
The same God who kept His word to them is watching over His word to you.
Hold fast. Believe again. The promise is still alive. Don't forget what God said!
