Day 33 of 40 Days of Glory and Fasting is complete! | THE THEME: "Don't forget what I said!" - God

Stepping Into the Grace of God

Grace isn’t just about forgiveness, it’s about enablement. Grace gives you the ability to do what God has called you to do. Without the Lord’s grace, you won’t be able to carry it out, no matter how sincere or determined you are.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”

—2 Corinthians 12:9

When we hear the word grace, we often think only of mercy and God covering our sins and shortcomings. And that is true. But grace goes further. Grace is God’s power at work in you, supplying strength where you are weak, wisdom where you lack understanding, and endurance when you feel depleted. Grace is heaven’s help for earthly assignments.

God never asks you to do something without also releasing the grace to accomplish it. If He called you, grace is already available. The struggle begins when we try to fulfill a divine assignment through human strength. That’s when exhaustion, frustration, and discouragement creep in.

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain.”

—1 Corinthians 15:10

Notice Paul didn’t say effort made him who he was, grace did! Grace doesn’t remove responsibility, but it removes the pressure of self-reliance. When you step into grace, you stop striving and start co-laboring with God. Grace meets you when you say, “Lord, I can’t do this without You.” And heaven responds, “That’s exactly where I work best.”

Whether you are on the job, an entrepreneur, a parent, an all-around athlete, a great preacher, a student in school, you need God's grace to do these things! Whatever it is the Lord has called you to do, even if you are doing it well already, understand this, you won't be able to do your best until you've stepped into the Lord's grace to do it!

Reflection:

  • Is there something God has asked you to do that feels too heavy right now?

  • Ask yourself—am I trying to do this in my own strength, or am I leaning into His grace?
