The Power in the Blood of Jesus
“Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” — Hebrews 9:22
The blood of Jesus is not a symbol; it is a reminder and evidence of victory. From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals that life flows through the blood. When Jesus shed His blood on the cross, He released divine life, power, and authority to redeem humanity fully and forever. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!
The blood of Jesus speaks. It speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24.) Abel’s blood cried out for justice, Jesus’ blood cries out for mercy, redemption, healing, and reconciliation.
When the blood was applied to the doorposts in Egypt, judgment passed over God’s people (Exodus 12.) Today, when we apply the blood of Jesus by faith, destruction still has to pass over. The enemy recognizes the blood.
Hell trembles at it. Heaven honors it.
The blood cleanses us from all sin, not some, not most, but all (1 John 1:7.) It removes guilt, silences accusation, and restores access to God’s presence. Through the blood, we don’t approach God as strangers, we come as sons and daughters. The blood of Jesus also establishes covenant. It seals promises, enforces victory, and guarantees our inheritance. You don’t fight for victory, you fight from victory, because the blood has already been shed.
When you plead the blood of Jesus, you are declaring:
I am redeemed.
I am covered.
I am protected.
I am justified.
I have authority.

The blood still works. It has not lost its power.
