#1 Write down what you need God to do. Mark 11:24; 1 Timothy 1:18 This includes past prophecies and dreams that have not come to pass, breaking addictions, breaking free from sin or old mindsets, showing you where hindrances are in your life. I encourage you to ask God to show you what's in you that needs to come out of you.
#2 Find and write out scripture(s) pertaining to what you're expecting Him to do. Hebrews 4:12.

For example, if you are fasting for your marriage then you'd use the scripture Ecclesiastes 4:12 or physical healing use the scripture Isaiah 53:5. I URGE YOU TO FIND SCRIPTURES THAT TIE TO WHAT YOU ARE BELIEVING GOD FOR, if it is not biblically backed then it "ain't" right!
#3 Read your word EVERYDAY because faith comes by HEARING, Declare/pray the scriptures daily, and expect God to move. Joshua 1:8. For example, healing for high blood pressure, you'd use the healing scripture that you chose for your fasting point. "By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed of high blood pressure." This is how wage war for what God has promised you!! 1 Timothy 1:18 Be specific in your prayers and expect specific answers!
#4 I know you hate this & you may argue with it but turn your plate down, it's the biblical way to fast. The biblical way to fast says to give up FOOD not items.... anything other than food such as tv, phone, and social media are just considered taking a break from it or addons. Luke 4:2-4, Exodus 34:28, Esther 4:16, Daniel 10:3 #5 Be led by the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:18 #6 You don't need to tell everyone that you are fasting. Matthew 6:16-18 #7 Your #1 priority/what you need God to do should be getting closer to Him, everything else comes after #1...for example #1 get closer to God #2 healing in my ........ #3 deliverance for my family. #4 break free from sin. Proverbs 3:6 #8 Worship during your fast!! You don't need a reason to praise Him!! The only qualification is breath!!!! Psalm 150:6, Acts 13:2 NIV #9 Be sure to have a set time of prayer and be sure you are also praying throughout the day. Psalm 5:3, Psalm 55:17, Daniel 6:10, Daniel 6:13, Daniel 6:11, Acts 3:1, Mark 1:35, Matthew 14:23, Mark 6:46 #10 Speak in tongues often, when we don't know what to pray, the Spirit of God will! Romans 8:26-27, Ephesians 6:18 #11 Go into the fast naked before God. Be honest with Him and yourself. Fasting brings things to pass fast when we do it right. We are doing this for God's glory, not our own. Be sure to use the scripture in its right context, not based on what was taught to you or what you believe; read it and use it based on what it says. The Word works if we work it right. The Word of God is a mirror that we are to look into daily, if you don't like the reflection then let the Word change you NOT you change the Word. Remember the enemy will tempt us most during this time of fasting as he did with Jesus on the mountain but remember why you are fasting. The food isn't worth your breakthrough!!! When you are tempted to eat something, you're supposed to be fasting from, just ask yourself "is this burger, cake, coke, etc worth my breakthrough?" Even sin, tell yourself again "this isn't worth my breakthrough! I am going to breakthrough this sin; it isn't going to break me!!"
#12 You are probably wondering what foods you are to fast from......Fast from the food that has a chokehold on you! For example, there's one person that is fasting from fast food, then another person fasting from sodas/juices, some are fasting by skipping one or two meals a day, and another that's actually doing a Daniel fast. Ask yourself, what food is really hard for me to stay away from. You may be asking what times we are fasting, well we gather daily for prayer; however, some people are fasting from 5 am - 5 pm, some are fasting throughout the whole day throughout the entire fast, and honestly that is what I am doing......I am fasting all 24 hours each day of our fasting. Let the Holy Spirit lead you. The scriptures highlighted are only a few, not all. See you tomorrow at 7 PM EST, don't forgot to catch the replays of day 1, 2, and 3!
