Have you ever heard people say “God won’t bless no mess?” I believe that is false based on reflecting on King David’s past and my past sinful nature. I believe the mess is the perfect opportunity for God to show His power and His glory and here I am going to explain to you how. David not only slept with another mans wife, but he impregnated her, and had her husband killed in an attempt to hide his mess. However, God still had a plan to bless him....
God will preserve you, His preservation is a blessing: how do we know that?
2 Samuel 12:13-18 reads "David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the Lord, the child who is born to you shall die.” Then Nathan went to his house. And the Lord afflicted the child that Uriah's wife bore to David, and he became sick. David therefore sought God on behalf of the child. And David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground. And the elders of his house stood beside him, to raise him from the ground, but he would not, nor did he eat food with them. On the seventh day the child died."
Can't you see the Lord's blessing in this!!?? God’s mercy is a blessing! Although the innocent child

died but God let David live. This also reminded me of how God blessed me in my mess each time that I got an abortion. He preserved my life each time I was taking the life that He created. There was a plan God had for me. He allowed death to pass over me even when I was in the act of sin, in deaths territory. God does bless mess with His mercy!
Then we have another thing that proves that God will bless you in your mess. God bless you!
2 Samuel 12:24 "Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba. He went to her and had sex with her. She gave birth to a son and named him Solomon. The Lord loved him." Even when we mess up, there is a promise. David was able to have another child, God gave him a 2nd chance. God has plans to prosper us, He created this plan long before we became a spirit! According to Romans 11:29 "God never changes his mind about the people he calls. He never decides to take back the blessings he has given them." The gifts and callings that the Lord gives us are irrevocable even when we make mistakes unintentionally or not. God not only blessed him with another son, but he blessed his entire bloodline! We know Solomon to be the wisest and richest kings in the bible.
Are you in a mess and believe there is just no hope for you?
Just like King David and myself, God’s mercy will protect and preserve you for the blessing. God’s preservation is a blessing in itself, it keeps you from harm. Maybe you are in the midst of overcoming sin and have lost sight of God’s mercy, let us reflect on the scripture…..while David was in sin, God was blessing him by preserving not only his life, but also the blessings that belonged to him, and the generations to come after him. You may have to go through some things to get to the destination, but one thing for sure what the Lord promises, He fulfills. God does not break promises, He fulfills them. I believe David was remorseful and I believe He knew that it was God and God alone that could bring Him out of this situation and not within his own strength. Once that reality came, He overcame. Maybe this is you today and you’ve tried everything you know to do and it has not worked or maybe you’ve made multiple self-righteous attempts to fix the issue, and God is saying “when it is too much for your hands, put it in My hands, and I'll fix it!” Change may not come overnight but the right change won't begin or happen until we partner with Holy Spirit for His

help. Whatever the situation is, God is ready to make an even exchange with you, if this is you, see the actual problem in your hands, and see yourself prophetically giving it over to the Lord and see Him giving you what you need.
Prayer: In the name of Jesus, I repent of my sin (name the sin whether it is an sin of attitude or an action) I ask you to forgive me and cover my sin with the Blood of Jesus. Father today I give you this mucky stuff that I can not handle on my own and I receive your grace, mercy, love, and forgiveness today. Create in my a clean heart Jesus. Help me to be a person after God's own heart. I invite you to be the Lord over my whole life. In Jesus name, Amen.
I'm so thankful that God has been a loving, forgiving Father in my life. Thank you for sharing this beautiful, inspiring reminder about God's message of love and redemption. Loved it!
